"How to deliver and how to make your team shine", Speaker Kaylan Hale-Clark, Central (Mooresville & West Lake Norman)
"How to deliver and how to make your team shine"
When I transitioned from an individual contributor into people management, I was inexperienced, had to figure out how to manage 8 technical people while being a black female immigrant with little guidance, and still maintain a technical day-to-day role for an extended period of time. In this talk, I present some tips and tricks that I wish I knew when I transitioned, including: how to transition to leadership in underrepresented spaces, how to understand what a technical team is looking for and how to deliver on those things, and how to make your team shine - because you, as a leader, are only as successful as your team!
- Learn how to transition to leadership in underrepresented spaces
- Understand what a technical team is looking for
- Know how to make your team shine - your team's success = your success
